Mangal informs Akshat that they may go shopping when she finishes her work, but asks him to finish his schoolwork first. Akshat is upset, and when Kapil enters, he inquires as to why the youngster is so sad. Akshat clarifies: “Mom isn’t taking me shopping, and we really need to buy some things!” Mangal emphasizes that Ishana will return tomorrow from her school exchange trip, and they are arranging a surprise so they will shop later. Kapil agrees to take Akshat and even promises him a donut. Mangal hesitates, but Akshat pleads, and she eventually agrees. Adit observes in silence as Akshat and Kapil leave happily.
Meanwhile, Kusum asks the maid Kamala to acquire Ishana’s favorite goods in preparation for cooking her favorite dishes. Sowmya interrupts, scoffing, “Do you have any idea how expensive this is? Ishana is health-conscious now, and she won’t eat your meals!” She dismisses Kusum and wonders why Ishana has returned so early. When she attempts to call, the phone is inaccessible.
Mangal, anticipating Ishana’s homecoming, reserves a table at her favorite restaurant. However, as she prepares to depart, a photo frame collapses, upsetting her. She calls Ishana again still no answer. Worried, she asks Adit whether he has her travel information or the phone numbers of her friends. He reassures her that Ishana is almost certainly on the plane, but Mangal remains uneasy.
That night, Mangal has a terrifying dream in which Ishana cries out for rescue. She prays for her daughter’s protection and decides to stay close to the children.
The next morning, parents assemble because the school bus is late. Mangal phones Adit, frightened, but the bus soon arrives but Ishana is not on it. The chauffeur insisted on dropping off all pupils and directed her to the teacher. Panicked, Mangal confronts the Principal, who confesses that Ishana abandoned the program a week earlier, claiming her father was ill before confirming her return home. “But Adit is fine!” Mangal exclaims, enraged that they did not verify.
She storms home and accuses Adit of neglect. He deflects, stating that Sowmya handles Ishana’s calls. Mangal confronts Sowmya, who dismisses it, adding, “It’s fine to lie sometimes.” Enraged, Mangal snaps, “Ishana is my daughter I won’t let you ruin her!” Sowmya responds, “She’s my daughter now.” “You’re only a visitor; know your limits!”
Adit finally asks Sowmya, “You said you knew her schedule Where is she?” Sowmya panics as her falsehood unravels. She had given Ishana money to spend with friends but now, if she does not return soon, the truth will be revealed.
